For the first three months, new team members are part of a flexible and individual orientation program. They are supported to ensure a sound understanding of their role, responsibilities and environment.

Ongoing Learning and Development

At Opal Aged Care we offer an extensive range of Ongoing Learning & Development Activities. We believe that investing in our people not only improves their skills and abilities but has a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families. Individual roles will determine what learning & development activities are required and which are optional. For every position there are:

  • Elective Programs

These programs cover the full spectrum of knowledge and skills that are required for people to perform their roles effectively and with confidence.

Traineeships and Diplomas

We provide career pathways for each individual to achieve their goals and reach their potential. For team members who meet the eligibility criteria, we have a range of traineeships they can access, Cert III in Aged Care and Health Admin or Cert III in cleaning or laundry services. We can also assist our team members to further their careers by supporting them to achieve Diploma or Bachelor qualifications.
